Frequently Asked Questions
Things you might want to know about ShiftCare smart scheduling system
Features
Can scheduling rules be customized?
Yes. In addition to built-in labor law rules, head nurses can define custom rules such as prohibited shift combinations based on unit needs.
How many units can use the system simultaneously?
Unlimited. The system uses a three-tier architecture — the nursing department manages hospital-wide settings while each unit operates its own scheduling independently.
Can schedules be exported to Excel?
Yes. Schedules can be exported to Excel with one click, and printing is also supported.
Do nurses need to download an app?
No. The nurse interface is a mobile-first web app — nurses can access it directly from their phone browser without installing anything.
Onboarding
How long does implementation take?
Typically 2–4 weeks for a healthcare institution. This includes system setup, staff data import, training, and a trial run.
What preparation is needed?
You will mainly need to provide: a staff roster, current shift settings, and scheduling rules. Our implementation team will assist you with all the setup.
Can we try it first?
Yes! We offer a 14-day free trial so you can experience the system in your real environment. Just book a demo to get started.
Will our current scheduling be disrupted during implementation?
No. You can run ShiftCare in parallel with your existing scheduling method during the transition, and switch over once you are confident in the system.
Pricing
How is pricing structured?
Pricing is based on the number of units and staff. Both monthly and annual plans are available. Please ask for details when booking a demo.
Is there a free trial?
Yes — a 14-day free trial with full features, no credit card required.
Security
Where is the data stored?
Data is stored on local cloud servers in Taiwan, compliant with healthcare data security standards, with comprehensive backup mechanisms.
How are permissions managed?
The system uses a three-tier permission model: System Admin (Nursing Dept) can access all hospital data, Unit Admins are limited to their unit, and General Users can only access their personal data.
How is account data synchronized?
Via API integration with the hospital HR system. Onboarding, offboarding, and transfers are synced in real time — no manual maintenance needed.
